Q: How old should my baby be to do this workout with me?

A: Your baby must be strong enough to hold their head up, this differs for every child. He or she should be able to hold his head up without ever needing support. If you aren’t sure, please consult your pediatrician.

Q: What is Pilates?

A: Pilates is a method of conditioning developed by Joseph Pilates over 45 years ago. Its main focus is in core strength, “the power house” (abdominal muscles as well as the muscles around the hips and along the back) The movements are to be done in a controlled manner and whereby the focus is on quality of movement not the quantity of repetitions.

Q: What does the “More” mean in your title?

A: Strength training exercises and stretches are incorporated in the workout.

Q: What if I’ve never done Pilates?

A: The first part of the DVD is a “Fundamentals” section to clarify and explain the basic technique. You should watch this every time you work out with this dvd.

Q: What do I need to do this workout?

A: You need a soft surface for the floor workout, either a mat, a rug or a folded towel. You will also need a front baby carrier that supports your baby and keeps you in proper alignment for the carrier section of the workout. An exercise band would also be wonderful to have or you can use 3-5 lb. weights.

Q: Is there a carrier you like more than others?

A: In the workout Michelle uses the Ergo Baby Carrier. It gives wonderful support. You can use any front carrier for this workout as long as the baby is properly positioned in the front and fully supported.

Q: Can I do this workout if I had a caesarian birth?

A: The Pilates method is a wonderful technique for post natal regardless of how you birthed. It is very important that you wait to workout until your Doctor says you are ready.

Q: Can I do this workout everyday?

A: Our fitness expert, Michelle, recommends that this routine be done every other day. She also recommends doing cardiovascular exercise on your non-Synthecore days.
